We're looking for a Benefits Rockstar to join our team at our Houston office, located in the Galleria area. As a Senior Benefits Specialist, you'll be responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, wellness program and 401(k) plan.

  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
  • Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
  • Coordinate transfer of data between Company and outsourced benefits call center.
  • Assist with the open enrollment process including communications and power point presentations.
  • Prepare power points and record benefit presentations for new hires.
  • Assist with ACA reporting.
  • Process and administer leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, disability and FMLA.
  • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
  • Coordinate company wellness program.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience working in the benefits administration field
  • Payroll or Compensation experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of HR and benefits principles and practices
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to communicate issues with staff at multiple locations
  • Strong communication skills
