If you have a strong work ethic and like working outdoors with your hands and heart, then we have the role for you! We are seeking a porter to join our team at Restland Funeral Home & Cemetery where we offer a friendly and supportive work environment.

As a Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of all fleet vehicles by detailing and maintaining the location vehicles daily. The Porter will ensure that the fleet vehicles are prepared for service which includes but not limited to keeping them clean and ready for services. The Porter will assist with vehicle maintenance and upkeep. The person in this role will need to have strong communication with the team, be proactive, and self-starter.

• Daily vehicle cleaning and detailing
• Perform thorough cleaning, washing, and detailing of vehicles, both interior and exterior
• Ensure vehicles are prepared for daily service rotation (cleanliness, check fluid levels, etc.)
• Assist the Fleet Coordinator by regularly checking the vehicle for maintenance.
• Assist with registration and all areas of keeping fleet vehicles in compliance.
• Assist with all vehicle repair logs and service schedules (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.)
• Inspect all vehicles prior to dispatching them for services and upon return.
• Identify damages to the fleet daily, log them and report them to the Fleet Coordinator, Cemetery Manager or Funeral Home Manager

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
